Sir Peter Dixon, former Chairman of the Housing Corporation, was appointed as President of English Rural Housing Association in March 2009. Peter will help the Association champion the need for affordable homes in rural communities across England.

His experiences as Chairman of the Housing Corporation from 2003 until 2008 will be a great asset to English Rural as it continues to work with local authority and parish council partners to provide affordable rural homes.

Each picture has either led a Case Study, promotion or personal interview about that person. You can get anywhere between 15 to 30 minutes with each person, if you are lucky longer. I really admire photographers who get amazing portraits as after many years of doing them under pressure and little time I know how hard it is.

While I was there I took a day out and drove down the Mekong delta on a motorbike. The Mekong river is the twelfth longest river in the world. It begins in the high plateau of Eastern Tibet and flows through China, Burma, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. The Cambodian part was somewhat dangerous so I had to have about 4 local guards with me, but that is another story. Here are a few shots from the edit of the people I found along the river while I was there.
